SAPEA experts from across Europe are contributing their knowledge and expertise on this topic.
This work follows a request by the College of Commissioners, led by Commissioner Cañete. The SAM High Level Group (HLG) have been asked to provide scientific advice based on existing research on the climate mitigation potential of carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies to inform future policy decisions including financial support.
The HLG will deliver an opinion by the end of April 2018.
