Euro-CASE Annual Conference “Building back better”

The Euro-CASE Annual Conference will be hosted by the Royal Academy of Engineering on the topic of “building back better”, in relation to the tandem challenges of economic recovery from the pandemic and achieving climate neutrality and resilience in Europe by 2050.

The conference will align with outcomes of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) hosted by the United Kingdom earlier the same month, and will bring together engineers, scientists, policy experts and decision makers from the UK and Europe to explore opportunities for UK-EU co-ordination on approaches to realising net zero emissions and a resilient, decarbonised society.

Professor Peter Lund, co-chair of the SAPEA working group that wrote a recent report "A systemic approach to the energy transition in Europe" will present conclusions of the publication in a session entitled “Engineering for net zero”.
